About Us

Hey, I’m Mckenzie — the person behind Resolute. Animals have always been a part of my life. I grew up with horses, showing and riding from a young age, and that definitely shaped how I see the world. I’ve always been drawn to animals with good minds, solid structure, and the kind of temperament that makes them easy to live with — not just look at.

 

I showed Aussies for a bit, which I really enjoyed, but I also spent a few years involved in rescue. That experience was eye-opening. While rescue work can be super rewarding, it also made me realize just how much I appreciate well-bred dogs — the kind where you know what to expect, where temperament and structure aren’t left up to chance. That’s where my love for purposefully bred purebreds really grew.

 

Then I met the American Hairless Terrier — and I fell hard.

 

They’re quirky, bold, smart, and so full of personality. What I love most is how involved they are in everything I do. My AHTs go everywhere with me — they hang out at the barn, ride shotgun in the truck, tag along to shows, and crash on the couch at night. I breed with that lifestyle in mind: I want dogs that are easy to live with, fun to train, and can truly be part of the family — whatever that looks like for you.
